NY – Jewelry for a Cause was born out of my own family life. Giving gifts has always been a challenge in my family – my father won’t even accept a gift that is not a donation to a worthy cause. Which inspired me to create Jewelry for a Cause. What started small and close to home quickly became more widespread and to date Jewelry for a Cause is proud to have raised over $300,000 for a wide variety of amazing causes.
In Gratitude Necklaces are made from recycled newspaper and barkcloth beads and are hand wrapped. The colors come from natural plant dye. All have 108 beads and are 26″ long. These beads and necklaces are handcrafted and no two are the same. Your purchase helps the women of Uganda create a sustainable and dignified source of income for their families and communities.
Talismans are fun to mix and match. Each piece featuring Buddha, peace signs, daisies and other fun icons is accompanied with a tag revealing the meaning behind the image on the charm. Necklaces cost $25 and the proceeds from the entire Talisman line goes to DoSomething.org.
Charity Kits are the coolest way to fundraise yet! Here’s how it works: You buy a KIT with 10 enamel peace charms in a variety of funky colors and pre-cut waxed cotton cord. Then, you can sell the cool bracelets to raise money for the charity of YOUR choice! When you’re done, people will be wearing something you made, will have learned about a cause that’s important to YOU and you’ll have raised a lot of money for that cause! We also have awesome Mitzvah Kits!
Glam for Good offers the power of diamonds and other precious gems as a fundraising tool for not-for-profits. Since its inception last year, Glam for Good’s 100-carat sapphire necklace was auctioned off the neck of Chyler Leigh at the Thirst Project gala in Beverly Hills, generating enough money to build a well in Swaziland where the clean water crisis is at its peak.
